The CLAP Summer Arts Festival will launch its second edition this year. Founded by the Contemporary Legend Culture and Arts Foundation, this annual arts extravaganza, held from July to September at the historic Banqiao Radio Station in New Taipei City, aims to realize the vision of the Legend Tech-Art Innovation Base that fosters shared cultural prosperity, collaborative learning, and creative exchange.

In addition to the resident companies—Contemporary Legend Theatre, Tai Gu Tales Dance Theatre, Hsing Legend Youth Theatre, and Little Legend Children’s Theatre—hosting diverse cross-disciplinary performances across the 1.5-hectare campus and its four main venues (Literature Hall, Dance Hall, Theatre Hall, and Exhibition Hall/Chenbro Hall]), the festival also provides a platform for individual and group performances, creations, lectures, and workshops in music, dance, theatre, fine arts, and literature. The outdoor stage and sprawling lawns frequently host corporate-sponsored family days, fairs, markets, and carnivals.
The annual CLAP Summer Festival is named for the gesture of applause, inviting all to celebrate artists’ talents and collectively support the growth of Taiwan’s arts and culture industries, while fostering international cultural exchange.
